Lori Rivenburgh
In October 2015, Lori became Executive Director of the Town of Wallkill Boys & Girls Club, serving Northern Orange and Sullivan Counties.
A lifelong Dutchess County resident who lives in Millbrook, Lori began her career working with at-risk youth and families.
For more than 20 years she has worked in communities throughout New York and Connecticut to help connect families to services and supports. Lori has worked in both residential settingsand group homes and provided in-home services to hundreds of families.
Formerly, she was Executive Director of Women’s Support Services, a domestic violence intervention and prevention agency in Connecticut that has been recognized as a model service provider under her leadership. Fundraising proceeds rose more than 75% during her time there, enabling the creation of a permanent endowment.
Lori was recognized by The Chamber Foundation, Inc. of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce as a 2015 ATHENA Award Honoree. The ATHENA Award is presented to an individual who actively assists women in achieving their professional goals and helps women develop leadership skills and demonstrates professional excellence and community service.
She has volunteered at Rebuilding Together, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Dutchess County, Children’s Services Council, and Children’s Providers Committee. She was also a board member for the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence, a committee member of the Connecticut Domestic Violence Fatality Review Committee, and chair of the Near Fatality Review Subcommittee.
Lori has a Master’s Degree in counseling and community psychology from Marist College. She is excited to be a part of the Northern Orange and Sullivan County communities and looks forward to creating GREAT futures for our Club kids.
Fun fact about Lori: Lori has participated in five mud runs and obstacles races, including two Warrior Dashes and a Spartan... and she has the medals to show for it!
